If there is ever a way to describe her artistic signature, sad, reflective, and empowering are just the tip of the iceberg for December Rose who invests her heart and soul into making beautiful and meaningful music. The Montreal pop vocalist and songwriter depicts authenticity and diversity through a creative fusion of inspired lyrics that are heavily influenced by the events of her own life and the emotion-dense range of her incredibly toned voice. December embraces exploring the unknown and enjoys incorporating new techniques to keep her art fresh with that powerful, magnetic edge.
Born and raised in Montreal, Canada, December Rose has been working on her craft since she was a child. In addition to over 15 years of formal musical/vocal training and a degree in classical voice performance, she is also an experienced and self-taught songwriter. December earned two silver medals for her exemplary abilities and in-depth understanding of proper vocal mechanics during her time as a student of the Royal Conservatory of Music. She leverages these lessons to continually elevate the bounds of her melodic voice as well as the voices of others. December Rose’s extensive studies have helped her develop a system and pathway to assisting others as a private vocal coach—a role she has taken on for over nine years now.
December Rose is truly involved in the creative process and is never in a rush to complete a project. Instead, she delves into grasping what brought about certain reflective thoughts, builds upon them, and allows everything to come together in due time. It is for this reason that she has been releasing great singles including Not Sorry, Raise Your Voice, When We Were Young, and Apple Tree among others. Her song “Ball Game” received a New Artist Spotlight award from Blastro.com and was featured in 8,500 outlets. Sitting on ballots alongside Billie Eilish, Shawn Mendes, and Lewis Capaldi, December received the New Music Weekly’s Top 40 Artist of the Year award for “Raise Your Voice” in June 2020.
December Rose is set to release her album titled Raise Your Voice in Summer 2021 with the promise of it being her best work yet.
